First stop was Ho Chi Mihn City. We weren't here for very long as we arrived very late that night and had to leave early the next morning. By far one of the best hotels and unfortunately we were in it for less than 8 hrs! We did manage to squeeze in a visit to the war remnants museum which displayed 3 floors of war pictures including effects of the orange agent on victims. Pretty gloomy and disturbing start to the day.
Next stop Nha Trang. Amazing!! By far the favorite place on tour so far. Spent this day on the water. Snorkeling on the coast, high jumping off the boat, a water boy band who put on a hilarious show for us, floating water bar, and banana boating were some at the things we encountered on this trip. Unfortunately shauna sustained a black eye from banana boating when an Aussie boy on the tour landed on her!! I was too sea sick for this activity and was a sickly shade of pale green by that time.
Next, onto Da Nang for custom clothing and cooking classes!!
Below are some pics on the plane leaving HCMC to Nha Trang. For some reason I always get seated behind the wing and by the window! And also me with a sessna and shauna with a tank!
What a great experience this is for you, huh? And for everyone else who gets to share it with you by reading your blog.Missed you at the cottage this weekend!(I planted 14 pots by myself and cleaned out the gardens) Gorgeous day there, but likely no comparison to Nha Trang. Maybe what we need up there is a swim up bar.
ReplyDelete14 pots! I'm sure it is beautiful up there now. I wish I was around for the may 24 weekend, but shauna and I are having an awesome time. We are just starting the backpacking part of our trip and have faced a few obstacles already. All part of the life I suppose though!
DeleteSwim up bar sounds like a great idea too by the way!
