Not a lot happened yesterday. It was a travel day so we were on the bus for 6 hrs traveling from Luang Prabang down the windy bumpy roads on the side of the massive mountain cliffs. Excellent view though. We arrived in vieng Vienne yesterday afternoon and had the evening to hang out. We are absolutely loving Laos (minus pakbeng)! And we are off to vien tiane by bus tomorrow morning.
Today was a free day it was absolutely fabulous. We went kayaking all morning and I decided to try caving. Pretty much exploring through pitch black caves in the muddy clay water. It was very adventurous... But the Laos guides seemed a little uncertain about where they were taking us but it ended up fine and was fun, and one of the girls had a waterproof camera so took lots of pics. Maybe some to come...
The afternoon was reserved for swimming and tanning at the blue lagoon. A backpackers destination for relaxing and hanging out. The water is amazing and clear. Also filled with little fish that nip at your feet! I talked shauna into going off a a jump that was set up on an overhanging tree on the water. We did the swing into the water, the 10 ft jump, and the 25 ft jump! So fun! Pictures of that to come also!
Time for bed now. Goodnight!
Amazing pictures, it looks absolutely beautiful there!!
ReplyDeleteSnake blood shot = gross. Have you tried any deep-fried bugs yet?
Aidan wants a pair of harem pants (is that what they're called there?) haha, I'm not sure if they make male ones though.
They definitely do have male ones. There are all different colors and such though. I don't know what kind you have, but the ones I have are like genie pants. Really flowy and then some that are shorter and tight at the legs. Ill look at what the other tourist guys are wearing and pick up a pair for him and Mitchell.
DeleteWe are having deep fried tarantulas tomorrow. Also the snake blood whiskey shot made me sick! Lol
It looks like clouds at the tops, how high up are you in this picture? Beautiful valley and rolling mountains.
ReplyDeleteSend more when you get a chance, sleep well, per your program you are in Cambodia tomorrow.
Enjoy.
What's pakbeng?
ReplyDeleteI want some harem pants too! (I'm pretty sure they don't make them for boys)
